Okay, so me and Lizzy went to take photos for a family friend a few weeks back.
HUGE learning curve!
We worked along side the main photographer (Tom Wren) and we were basically just there to take photos of the evening guests - With the help of Tom =]
It was alot harder than expected due to the dark, cramped and busy environment. I used a speed light on top of my camera and then used the shutter speed setting on my camera so i didn't have to keep working out the different appertures.
At first i found that i kept getting harsh shadows behind the people on my photos in certain areas of the location, so i experimented with bouncing the light off at different angles to correct this.
Off to meet a client at half 3 =]
Hopefully this summer work will count as work experience!
Been thinking alot about this book/summer project. I seriously want to get into doing fashion work. The idea that i'm really keen on doing is this kind of images of people or parts of people but without their faces in... I like the idea of knowing abit about the person in the photograph through what they wear, hold and from the location, without knowing who they are - i want to do a series of photos of this and then my book will have just these images in so it all ties together.
Just abit of a differnt approach to the normal fashion kind of work.
I've posted some images of work that are very similar for the outcome i'm looking to achieve!
