Fashion Without Faces

Quick update on the fashion without faces (book) project.

I've selected some of the images i took when photographing my friend for her modeling portfolio. I've changed the colours of the dress on 2 of the 3 images so they look different so i can include them all in my book!
I'll probably only put in the 1st and second, i'm not too keen on the 3rd.

Swithland Reservoir Shoot

A friend contacted me about photos for her modeling portfolio a few weeks back, and we arranged to shoot on the 25th at Swithland Reservoir.
I decided to try and get some photos for my book project at the same time (I'll attatch these to another post!)
I'm happy with the results we got from this shoot, especially as i haven't done any location work in years!
If i were to do it again, i'd try to use depth of field more in the images.

Here are a few of the final edited images.

Experimenting

Over the past few weeks, the sky at dusk has been amazing.

I've just been experimenting with different camera settings to see what different effects i can get without photoshop!

Here's 2 images taken from my bedroom window <3

I used a filter on my lens to create the star effect from the street lights. Some people think these are tacky, but i think it works in this photo!

I used a slower shutter speed to capture the bold colours in the sky <3

This photo is one i took when i was in Spain. I've photoshopped people out of the image and darkened the edges of the photo.

I never thought landscape/skyscape photography would interest me, but now i've taken some shots i want to include more into my work!! =]

Kick Starting This Summer Project!

Fashion Without Faces:

Okay so i deceided to start my summer project whilst away in sunny Spain <3
The whole idea of these photos is to be unposed and to catch moments as they happen.

The sun helped hugely with my first shot as it made it really bright and bold. I'm very happy with the result of this photo and it is deffinatley going into my photo book!

These next 2 photos aren't the best of photos =/

I wanted to capture the movement of the Flamenco dancer's dresses, but it was really dark, the stage wasn't lit very well and i couldn't get as close as i'd have liked.

These are the 2 best images from the bunch! Super photoshopped to try and make them brighter but i think they look abit pixelated now =[

Might use the first one in my book, i don't want to put both in as theyre very similar.
